Overview

"Liwa al-Quds" or the "Jerusalem Brigade" is a predominantly Palestinians in Syria brigade that operates as a part of pro-Syrian government forces in the Syrian Civil War (since 2013). Since 2019, it is part of the Syrian Army's 5th Assault Corps. "Al-Quds" ("The Holy" ) is an Arabic metaphor for "Jerusalem"; c. 2015. The top line reads: "liwa" or "brigade" and the bottom line reads: "al-Quds" or "The Holy" (i.e. "Jerusalem"). The logo is a circular mimic of the national flag of Syria.
